Mother's Day Pottery Painting (kid friendly!) (May 10)

Grab the maternal figure in your life and bring her by for pottery painting! This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to be fun and to help both adults and kids tap into their creative side.

This course is open to those who are age 8+. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

During this session, you’ll learn how to create sharp and eye-catching designs using ceramic underglazes. The class will start with a demo for painting successfully with underglazes, including how to layer color, mix colors, outline designs, and more. You'll then be taught how to design your decoration and begin applying it to your piece. You'll have the choice to either:

• Follow one of a few guided design ideas
• Plan your own illustration

You can choose between a spoon rest, a donut plate, a tumbler, or a small bowl. All are handmade and wheel thrown by your instructor. 

At the end of the workshop, your piece will stay at the studio to be clear glazed and kiln fired. You’ll be able to pick up your finished, food-safe work 2-3 weeks after the class. 

Class is held on Sunday, May 10, from 12:30-2:30pm at 853 Hiawatha Pl S in Seattle.

One spot in the class covers one attendee. If bringing your mom, please purchase 2 spots.
