Membership grants 24/7 access to the studio. Membership costs $250 and is automatically billed monthly. Membership includes a large personal shelf and unlimited access to the studio.
Note: To keep pace with inflation and market rates, we will raise our prices to $275 per month for new members who sign after September 1, 2025 (existing members will be grandparented in at their current rate).
Equipment and Materials
The studio is equipped with Shimpo wheels, large worktables, a Shimpo slab roller, and all the tools you’ll for wheel throwing, sculpting, and/or handbuilding.
Bisque and glaze firings are processed every 1-2 weeks (depending on volume). We fire glazed work to both Cone 5 and 6 (potter’s choice).
The studio provides a selection of mid-fire glazes in dip buckets, including several glossy, satin, and matte glazes. We also provide a selection of brush-on glazes, engobes, effect glazes, and underglazes. All glazes are included in the membership fee. Members may bring in their own glazes. Those glazes must be commercial glazes (no self-mixed glazes) and rated for midfire (cone 5-6).
Clay is sold at $23-40 per bag. When available, recycled clay can be purchased for $5-10 per bag. All clay must be purchased through the studio. There is no restriction or cap on the amount of clay you use or work you can fire.
Policies
We are an adults-only studio. All members must by 16+ years of age.
Members must have prior experience with clay and ceramics equipment, such that they can work independently.
We take pride in a clean and safe space! Our studio is a communal project, so members are expected to leave the space as clean as they found it and treat it as if it were their own. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination.
We are a pet friendly studio! If your fluffy pal is friendly to and gentle with other dogs and cats, they are welcome to join you at the studio. They must be potty trained and not cause noise, danger, or mess.
