Membership costs $250-300 and is automatically billed monthly. Membership includes a personal shelf and unlimited access to our 24/7 studio.
Equipment and Materials
The studio is equipped with Shimpo wheels, large worktables, a Shimpo slab roller, and all the tools you’ll for wheel throwing, sculpting, and/or handbuilding.
Bisque and glaze firings are processed every 1-2 weeks (depending on volume). We fire glazed work to both Cone 5 and 6 (potter’s choice).
The studio provides a selection of mid-fire glazes in dip buckets, including several glossy, satin, and matte glazes. We also provide a selection of brush-on glazes, underglazes, engobes, and effect glazes. All glazes are included in the membership fee. Members may bring in their own glazes so long as the glaze was commercially produced and rated for midfire (cone 5-6). We do not allow self-mixed glazes.
Clay is sold at $23-40 per bag. We carry white, red, buff, speckled, and black stoneware, and a bright white porcelain. When available, recycled clay can be purchased for $10 per bag. All clay must be purchased through the studio.
Events
We hold ~1 member event per month. These aim to build creative community and artistic skill development, and they are included in your membership fee. Some recent workshops include: throwing with marbled clay, bust sculpture, two-part throwing, and overglazing with ceramic lusters.
We have also host annual events including a pit fire campout, our Great Pottery Throwdown (like the show!), and markets for a chance to sell your work.
All events are free to members.
Policies
We are an adults-only studio. All members must by 18+ years of age.
Members must have prior experience with clay and ceramics equipment, such that they can work independently. Members should operate at an Intermediate or Advanced level.
We take pride in a clean and safe space. Members are expected to leave the space immaculately clean and treat it as if it were their own.
We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination.
We are a pet friendly studio! If your fluffy pal is friendly to and gentle with other dogs and cats, they are welcome to join you at the studio. They must be potty trained and not cause noise, danger, or mess.
