Black-and-white lacy jar created using raku firing. Thesevessels are finished with fire, resulting in dramatic crackle and smoke-blackened interiors.
The jar has a nesting lid. It is suitable for dry foods or any other trinkets you might want to store. This jar is raw clay on the inside, which has been sealed with a food safe, water-tight sealant. However, I do not recommend storage of liquids in the jar.
Due to the intense nature of raku, pieces will have variation in the colouring of the glaze, including some sooted areas. These are part of the rugged charm of this style.
