Black-and-white lace planter created using raku firing. Thesevessels are pulled from the kiln at their peak temperature and finished in flame, resulting in dramatic crackle, carbon absorption, and trapped ash. Due to the intense nature of raku, pieces will have variation in the colouring of the glaze, including some sooted areas. These are part of the rugged charm of this style.
This planter has been sealed and tested for water-tightness. It can hold a plant in a plastic pot or have a plant planted directly inside (note that it has no drainage holes).
