Series: Introduction to Wheel (Tuesdays 6-8:30pm starting Jan 7)

Interested in trying your hand at the pottery wheel? This 6-week class series starts with the ABCs of throwing ceramics on the potter's wheel. You’ll learn how to center clay, pull basic forms like tumblers and bowls, trim and refine forms, add handles, and glaze and decorate your pottery. You’ll also learn the basics of the pottery making process and the equipment involved. By the end of the 6-week series, you’ll have 4-5 pieces to take home with you. You can pick up your finished work 1-2 weeks after your last class. 

This class is for students age 18 and older. Class is held weekly on Tuesday, 6-8:30pm at 853 Hiawatha Pl S in Seattle. Dates are: 1.7, 1.14, 1.21, 1.28, 2.4, and 2.11. If you need to cancel, we can order a full refund up to 7 days prior to the first class. 

Outside of class, you are granted access to the studio during open studio hours to practice if you’d like. The studio is open to students 10am-10pm, Tues to Sunday (closed Mondays).

There are no makeup classes, but each class will start with a brief review of the prior week’s content and students can use open studio time for additional practice. Class fee includes one bag of clay.
