Black-and-white floral vase created using raku firing. Thesevessels are pulled from the kiln at their peak temperature and finished in flame, resulting in dramatic crackle, carbon absorption, and trapped ash. Due to the intense nature of raku, pieces will have variation in the colouring of the glaze, including some sooted areas. These are part of the rugged charm of this style.
This vase has been sealed and tested for water-tightness. It can hold water for bouquets.
