Black-and-white floral jar created using raku firing. The jar has a nesting lid. It is suitable for dry foods or any other trinkets you might want to store. This jar is glazed with a crackle glaze on the inside.
Thesevessels are pulled from the kiln at their peak temperature and finished in flame, resulting in dramatic crackle, carbon absorption, and trapped ash. Due to the intense nature of raku, pieces will have variation in the colouring of the glaze, including some sooted areas. These are part of the rugged charm of this style.
