This 8-week class series will teach you everything you need to throw beautiful ceramics on the potter's wheel.

During the course, you’ll learn how to center clay, pull basic forms like mugs and bowls, trim and refine forms, add handles, and glaze and decorate your pottery. You’ll also learn the basics of the pottery making process and the equipment involved. After the course, we will fire your glazed work, which you will be able to pick up 2-3 weeks after the final class.

This course is open to beginners who have taken 0-2 pottery courses before. Students are welcome to repeat this class to continue building the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Students must be age 16+.

Class is held weekly on Thursdays from 6-8:30pm at 853 Hiawatha Pl S in Seattle. The first class is on Sept 10, and will run for 8 successive weeks, ending on Oct 29. There are no makeup classes, but each class will start with a brief review of the prior week’s content. Outside of class, students are granted access to the studio 10am-10pm, Monday to Sunday. Class fee includes 1 bag of clay and firing of up to 8 pieces. Students may choose to buy more clay and/or have additional pieces fired for a small fee ($5 per piece).

If you need to cancel your purchase, we can offer a full refund less a $25 restock fee up to 14 days prior to the first class and 50% refund within 14 days of the start of class.
