This workshop will help you increase your own personal ceiling, whether that’s 2lbs or 20lbs! Students must be age 16+.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOver two sessions, you will learn the fundamental skills for increasing the size of your pots.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSession 1 will focus on throwing \u003cstrong\u003elarger single-volume forms\u003c\/strong\u003e:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCentring larger volumes of clay\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePulling techniques for creating taller cylinders\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eShaping and refining larger forms\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSession 2 will focus on throwing larger using the \u003cstrong\u003etwo-part method\u003c\/strong\u003e:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThrowing sturdy cylinders and preparing them for joining\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eJoining two cylinders by flipping one onto the other and combining them into a single form\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eShaping and refining the final two-part piece\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBetween the two sessions and for two weeks following, students are granted unlimited \u003cstrong\u003eopen studio \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eaccess \u003c\/strong\u003efrom 10am-10pm everyday, which allows you to trim and glaze your pieces if you’d like. Class fee includes 1 bag of clay and firing of up to 2 pieces. Students may choose to buy more clay and\/or have additional pieces fired for a small fee ($5 per piece). You can pick up your finished work 2-3 weeks after the you've glazed them. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClass is held on two Thursdays, 6:00pm-8:30pm, at 853 Hiawatha Pl S in Seattle.
